Timothy Snyder

TIMOTHY SNYDER is Senior Fellow for Democracy at the Council on Foreign Relations, Richard C. Levin Professor of History at Yale University, and a permanent fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. Snyder has authored 16 books, including On Freedom, On Tyranny, Bloodlands, Black Earth, The Road to Unfreedom, and Our Malady. His work has earned him the Literature Award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Václav Havel Foundation Prize, Guggenheim and Carnegie fellowships, and the Hannah Arendt Prize.
