It does not govern or apply to information collected or used by us through other means, nor does it apply to our other websites that display a different privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy describes

  • the information that we receive from you when you interact with us,

Cookies and Other Tracking Technology

We use cookies (and similar technologies) and analytics tools to collect Usage Data. A cookie is a small file which is placed on your hard drive when you visit the Sites. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you may modify your browser settings to disable or reject cookies. If you set your web browser to decline cookies or if you delete your cookies, some features of the Sites may not work or may not work as designed.

These technologies track your use of our Sites to enable us to

  • identify returning users,
  • eliminate the need for registered users and subscribers to re-enter their login details,
  • remember your preferences,
  • determine your registration or subscription rights to specific content,
  • serve relevant advertisements for our products and assess the efficacy of those advertisements,
  • track your use of our Sites to better develop our features, and
  • monitor the traffic and performance of our Sites.

We use analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and Chartbeat to understand the performance of our Sites and content. These analytic tools use cookies and similar technologies to track

  • the number of visits to and average time spent on either a single page or the entire Sites;
  • the number of pages viewed per session, or the sequence of pages visited;
  • behavior on a single page or the entire Sites, including scrolling and clicking on links or buttons; and
  • similar data regarding use of our Sites.

Online advertising for our Sites is delivered by the vendor DoubleClick. DoubleClick places cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Sites. This information is used to

  • facilitate serving particular advertisements,
  • help determine whether you have seen a particular advertisement before,
  • tailor advertisements to you if you have visited our Sites before, and
  • avoid sending you duplicate advertisements.

We also use Google AdWords and Facebook remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to previous visitors to our Sites. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google Search results page, a site in the Google Display Network, in a Facebook news feed, on a site or application owned by Facebook, or on a site in Facebook’s Audience Network. Third party vendors, including Google and Facebook, use cookies and other tracking technology to serve advertisements based on someone’s past visits to our Sites. Any data collected will be used in accordance with our own Privacy Policy, as well the privacy policies of Google and Facebook.
